The HSBC Malta Property Expo 2010
The second edition of the HSBC Malta Property Expo attracted thousands of visitors to the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’Qali over the first weekend of March. Although inclement weather on Sunday may have kept attendance figures slightly lower than last year, the vast majority of exhibitors expressed their satisfaction that the quality of enquiries they received was superior. Most exhibitors went away with filled appointment books and serious sales leads that they expect to turn into sales over the weeks and months following the event. Moreover, excellent networking contacts were made between the eighty exhibitors themselves and the general feeling was very positive.
HSBC Malta Propery Expo 2010 next weekend at MFCC
The second edition of the HSBC Malta Property Expo opens to the general public on Friday at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre, Ta’ Qali. After the huge success of the very first Maltese property expo, held last year, expectations are high for another event that will continue to boost the Maltese real estate industry.

‘This year we are trying to optimize the educational potential of The Expo’ said David Grech, Duplex’s Business Developement Manager. Duplex have teamed up with Professor Alex Torpiano, Director of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Malta, to present third year Architecture students with a challenging project. The aim of the project is to present ideas and designs for a low carbon footprint development. A large number of architecture students submitted their projects to the faculty, out of which twenty will be shortlisted and displayed at The Expo. Each participating student will have their display area where they will showcase their project and compete for prizes. Prof. Torpiano added that those students who were not shortlisted will still receive acedemic grading nonetheless.

The first edition of The Malta Property Expo proved to be very successful in more ways than one. Over 6000 people visited the event and applauded the high level of organisation and most of the 73 exhibitors went away holding filled appointment books, with some sales actually concluded during the event itself. Then in October, Malta’s first event of this kind, received a much coveted commendation during the OPP Industry Awards held in London. This re-affirmed the event’s success with more praise from a highly respected industry body of international property professionals.

Last year’s Property Expo proved a huge success for Duplex who established themselves in 2004, but they also identified areas where they could improve on the event. “Last year we carried out surveys with our attendees so that we could further improve the expo and make the event itself as much of a hit as possible,” explains Mr Pillow, CEO of Duplex. “We aim to create a one-stop shop window for the property market in Malta to help bring the Maltese market to an international stage.”

HSBC Malta Property Expo 2010 on track
With just over three months left to opening day, preparations for the next edition of the HSBC Malta Property Expo are well on track. The first ever Malta Property Expo was so successful, that even before the 2009 edition ended, many exhibitors had already confirmed their interest in renewing their participation for next year. So much so, that even though the layout was changed to accommodate more stands, so far more than 75% of the spaces have been taken up by last year’s participants and various new entrants.

The HSBC Malta Property Expo held for the first time last February, received the highly commended award in the exhibition category at the OPP Industry Awards. These prestigious awards, organised annually during OPP LIVE are considered to be the most respected in the industry and are followed by more than 83,000 property professionals around the world.

Duplex Real Estate Branding today launched the second edition of the HSBC Malta Property Expo, to be held at The Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali from the 4th to 7th March 2010. With such a dynamic property industry in Malta, it was only a matter of time until a professional event was organized to bring together everything related to real estate under one roof.
Second Edition of Malta Property Expo at MFCC
After the success of the first ever Malta Property Expo held earlier this year at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre, the organisers Duplex Real Estate Branding have today signed an agreement to hold the second edition at the same venue next year. This agreement paves the way for The Malta Property Expo 2010 to be held between the 4th and 7th March 2010 at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.
