HSBC Malta Property Expo 2010 on track

With just over three months left to opening day, preparations for the next edition of the HSBC Malta Property Expo are well on track.
The first ever Malta Property Expo was so successful, that even before the 2009 edition ended, many exhibitors had already confirmed their interest in renewing their participation for next year. So much so, that even though the layout was changed to accommodate more stands, so far more than 75% of the spaces have been taken up by last year’s participants and various new entrants.
“It is no coincidence that The HSBC Malta Property Expo has become such a sought after event with the industry”, said David Grech, the coordinator of the event with organizing company Duplex Real Estate Branding. “Even before we put up the first edition, our extensive research had shown that there was a void in the market for such an event in Malta, and basically we worked very hard to organize an event to meet everyone’s expectations”, he continued to explain. The company’s efforts paid off from the first edition which attracted more than seventy exhibitors and over six thousand visitors within the three days, and next year’s event is promising to be even bigger.
At least five developers are planning to launch new large scale projects during The Expo as it is seen as being the ideal spring board with its own captive audience. Such developments are an important part of the market and also help to elevate the level of the event itself. The HSBC Malta Property Expo 2010 will also feature three property auctions aimed at different buyer profiles – from first time buyers to developers, and an architecture design exhibition which is the culmination on a currently ongoing competition amongst University students.
For next year’s edition, the organizers are also planning a number of surprise attractions, which are still under wraps but are promising to be very interesting for visitors. Estate agents, property owners and developers will have a chance to mingle between themselves, with architects, interior designers, banks and other related exhibitors as well as the thousands of people expected to visit the event.
